Siemens Energy is determined to offer all our employees fair and equal compensation. In this session, we will present our holistic analytical approach to identify, assess, and implement evidence-based measures which improve our compensation instruments and processes. We will particularly report the outcome of a large-scale field experiment with almost 20,000 employees and managers, developed together with our research partner, the University of Goettingen, in which we analyzed how we can best support managers in their pay decisions.
In this presentation you will learn:
At Siemens Energy, Sebastian Wetzel is responsible for Compensation & Benefits globally. In this position he, amongst others, drives the design and group-wide implementation of short- and long-term (equity-based) compensation instruments and processes for executives and employees. Before joining Siemens Energy, Sebastian has been responsible for Compensation & Benefits, People Analytics and Governance at Bilfinger SE. He started his career at hkp/// group, an international HR consultancy where he advised companies particularly in questions of executive and non-executive compensation as well as strategic talent and performance management. Sebastian Wetzel holds a M.Sc. from the University of Mannheim with a major in strategic management.
Incentives do work – but not always as intended! There are countless approaches on designing effective pay packages, but there is no doubt that Compensation & Benefits do matter to individuals.
C&B at Siemens Energy means rethinking traditional systems to enhance fairness, transparency, and performance-orientation. By leveraging data, we empower managers to make informed decisions, contributing to employee engagement, performance and ultimately company success.
